LiftX - the first Automotive Powered Roof System

       While designing LiftX  and introducing the nice features that the customer is almost sure going to appreciate we never compromised on safety. The system is equipped with load sensing that will prevent the platform from impacting the user or any obstructing objects. To completely avoid such impact LiftX is further equipped with a comprehensive Non Contact Obstruction Avoidance (NCOA) system. A set of long rage IR sensors monitor lateral the load platform as it gets deployed and will stop the movement as soon as an obstruction is found to interfere with its lowering path. The Gesture Recognition IR sensor will switch its functionality to act as a NCOA sensor throughout the platform movement and revert its functionality to Gesture Recognition if such interference is not detected or if the platform is reaching the lowermost deployment elevation.

     LiftMATE's control module is conveniently placed for user accessibility in case manual operation is desired or the user would like to diagnose battery status.

     Started in 2019 as SPRS project, it was later rebranded as LiftX as it evolved towards a mature concept. Mechanen is planning to finalize a functional prototype by the end of the year.

LiftX is design to use with predilection components already adopted by automotive industry with traceable history of successful validation in both functional reliability and endurance in high/low temperatures, humidity or dust impact. Besides facilitating acceptance by industry, using existing components will most probable offer a significant cost advantage as the company will buy more of the components it is already purchasing.
